Care instructions for our products
Each HIKARI piece is created to transform small moments into rituals of presence. To enjoy your products safely and prolong their durability, we have compiled the essential usage guidelines here.
Container Candles
On first use, let the candle burn until the entire surface melts to the edges of the container. This helps prevent the candle from tunneling in the center.
Always place the candle on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Before each use, trim the wick to about 5 mm.
We do not recommend leaving the candle burning for more than 4 consecutive hours.
Extinguish the candle with a snuffer or by gently blowing on it.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Crystal candles
Remove crystals before lighting the candle.
On first use, let the candle burn until the surface melts completely, to the walls of the glass.
Trim the wick about 5 mm before each use.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Use on flat, heat-resistant surfaces and away from flammable materials.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Do not exceed 4 consecutive hours of burning.
Extinguish with a snuffer or by gently blowing on it.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the sun.
Important note about candles with wooden wicks:
Candles with wooden wicks use a metallic support base, essential for ensuring stability and safe burning. For this reason, it is natural for a small amount of wax to remain at the bottom of the container at the end of use.
This wax can be easily repurposed. If you wish, we would be happy to share some suggestions.
Wax refills
Loosen and remove the old wax with a spoon, taking the wax from the edges of the glass.
Remove the wax base, clip, and used wick, ensuring the container is completely clean before inserting the new refill.
Clean any remaining wax with dry paper towel.
Unroll the refill and carefully place it in the container.
Light the candle and enjoy the ritual.
Wax melts
Use in a suitable wax warmer for aromatic waxes.
Never add water to the container.
Do not leave the warmer burning unattended.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
When the fragrance fades, replace with a new portion.
